Safety
Last updated 9 October 2026
ShubhLabh helps you with your daily devotion. It is not a priest or a doctor. This page shares a few simple safety points.
What ShubhLabh is, and is not
ShubhLabh helps you with darshan, aarti, jaap, rituals and festival dates at home.
ShubhLabh is not:
- A priest or a religious authority
- A replacement for your family’s traditions or your temple
- Medical advice
Festival dates and vidhi can differ by region and by family tradition. When in doubt, ask your family elders or your priest.
Fasting and your health
The vrat guidance in ShubhLabh is general. It does not know your health.
- If you are unwell, elderly, pregnant or take medicines, ask your doctor before you fast
- Do not stop a medicine for a vrat without asking your doctor
- If you feel dizzy or weak, stop your fast and eat or drink something
- If you feel very unwell, get medical help at once
Your health comes first.
A real diya at home
The diya in the app is on your screen. A real diya, camphor or agarbatti is a real flame.
- Never leave a lit diya unattended
- Keep it on a metal plate or a steady stand, away from curtains, cloth, paper and decorations
- Keep it out of reach of children and pets
- For an akhand diya, use a glass cover and check it before you sleep
Helplines in India
If you or someone near you needs help, call:
- 112: emergency (police, fire, ambulance)
- 14567: Elderline, for senior citizens
- 14416: Tele-MANAS, for mental health support
These services are not run by ShubhLabh, and ShubhLabh is not an emergency service.
