This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect your information when you use ShubhLabh.

Introduction

Chronoseize 42 Tech Private Limited (“we”, “us” or “our”) runs the ShubhLabh app for Android and this website, https://getshubhlabh.app (together, the “Service”). ShubhLabh is a Hindu devotional app.

By using ShubhLabh, you agree to this policy. Please read it with our Terms of Use.

Information we collect

Account information

• Your mobile number, to sign in and verify your account
• Your name, if you choose to add it

You can start using ShubhLabh without signing up, and save everything with your mobile number later.

What you add in the app

• The gods you choose for your mandir
• Your city, to show the festival and vrat calendar for where you live
• Your reminders, mala and jaap counts, rituals and settings
• Names and photos you put on cards

Photos you put on cards stay on your phone. We do not upload them. If you share a card with a ShubhLabh link, the link shows your name as the sender.

We ask for your approximate location only when you tap “Use my location”, and we save only your city. ShubhLabh never reads your contact list.

App activity

• How you use the app, such as screens opened, aartis played and cards shared

Device and technical information

• Phone model, Android version, app version, language and time zone
• IP address and a random ID for your app install
• Crash reports and performance data

This website

This website does not use cookies or trackers. It stores only your language choice, in your own browser. Like any website, our server sees your IP address when you visit.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Run ShubhLabh: your mandir, aartis, bhajans, mala counter and rituals
• Save and back up your mandir, counts and settings, and restore them on a new phone
• Show festival and vrat dates for your city
• Send the reminders and notifications you turn on
• Fix problems and improve the app
• Reply to your questions and complaints
• Keep accounts secure and prevent misuse
• Send important updates about the Service
• Comply with legal obligations

Data storage and security

Your information is stored on secure cloud servers. We use industry-standard security measures, including:

• Encryption of data in transit and at rest
• Access controls, so only staff who need it can see user information

No system is completely secure, but we work hard to protect your information.

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these cases:

• Service providers: trusted companies that help us run ShubhLabh, such as cloud hosting, SMS sign-in codes and notifications. They use it only for this work.
• Legal requirements: when the law requires it, or to protect our rights
• Safety: when we believe it is needed to prevent harm or misuse
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of our business

Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access: see the information we hold about you
• Correction: update or correct your details
• Deletion: delete your account and your data
• Download: get a copy of your data
• Withdraw consent: take back consent you have given

You can do most of this yourself in the app, under Profile › Settings › Privacy & data. You can also delete your account on our Delete account page, or write to us at privacy@getshubhlabh.app. We reply to emails within 2 working days.

Data retention

We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account:

• Your personal information is deleted within 30 days
• Anonymised totals that cannot identify you may be kept
• We keep information longer only where the law requires it

Card photos and downloads saved on your phone stay there until you remove them or uninstall the app.

Children

ShubhLabh is meant for people aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, write to privacy@getshubhlabh.app and we will delete it.

Third-party services

We work with other companies’ services, for example:

• WhatsApp and other apps, when you share a card or status
• Google Play, to install, update and check the app
• Your phone’s notification service, to deliver reminders

Their own privacy policies apply, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will tell you about important changes in the app. If you keep using ShubhLabh after a change, you accept the updated policy.
